The Julian and Eunice S. Cohen Scholarship

Jazmin calls Belle Glade home, where her family is part of the agricultural workforce. Her goal to be an environmental manager stems from up-close observation of local farming’s effect on people and the land. With her scholarships in hand, Jazmin is studying in Florida State University’s environmental science program with a plan to tackle the pollution challenges that impact environmental and human health. “Coming from Mexico, my 020parents sacrificed a lot so that we would have opportunities that they didn’t – that’s why this scholarship matters. Thanks to the Community Foundation, now I can dedicate myself fully to this dream and give back to the community that encouraged it.”
